A new underground imaging radar with infrared tracking and a pulse modulator, has been developed by the North Institute of Geography and Agroecology at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It was recently checked and approved by the Science and Technology Department of Jilin Province. The device can be used to survey underground structures, such as pipeline, drainage, cables, topography of a lake bottom and more.
Some experts believe the imaging radar is up to international standards and could complete surveys timely and precisely.
