Liu Keyu, Vice Director of the Economic and Technical Research Center of China Oil and Natural Gas Corporation says, in accordance with China's current strategies and policies on natural gas development, the Chinese government encourages foreign investment in natural gas reconnaissance and development, infrastructure building, natural gas-powered electricity generation, and gas projects in large and medium-sized cities. The scope of opening virtually covers every sphere of the natural gas sector.
In terms of natural gas reconnaissance and development, China's natural gas zones are primarily concentrated on seas and in the west.
