China's second-largest telecom operator, China Unicom, announced it has made a deal with US computer giant Apple to market the country's first iPhone 3G mobile handset, according to a statement on China Unicom's website, Friday.
The statement reads: "China Unicom and Apple have reached a multiyear agreement for China Unicom to sell iPhone in China. The initial launch is expected to be in the fourth calendar quarter of 2009. We will share more details at that time."
